DiGiorno Pizza "Pinocchio"
(click on pic to see the spot!) Whattyagonnado? Pinocchio just can't stop telling fibs! He
tries to treat his old man to some lip-smackin' pizza, but
his pathologic lies turn his proboscis super-sized! Pinocchio was achieved with a combination "man-in-a-suit" plus
an
insert animatronic head solution. We went for an "Olde World" carved
wooden look to him. For expressiveness in close-ups, the R/C head
controlled his jaw, lips, nose extrusion, eyes, and a cool system of
magnets to drive his brows and slide them over the surface of his
forehead. We actually made sure the surface was not too smooth, to
achieve sort of a "jumpy" stop motion effect.
